Press Release : 01-09-06 Corbomite Games team with Uri Fink to create “Zbang ! – The Game”
Tel-Aviv, Israel. September 1st 2006.
Corbomite Games CEO Oded Sharon and Zbang creator Uri Fink have announced their formed relations to team up and produce “Zbang! - The game”, a comedy game based on Uri Fink’s successful comics series Zbang.
in "Zbang! The Game" you play Mike, an average teenager, who likes to surf, play rock'n'roll, and fantasize about having sex with his girlfriend, Jennifer.
The game takes place in everyday world of high school teenagers: The school, a typical messy teenage room, band practice, the mall, the beach.
About the Comics "Zbang" :
Zbang, is the most famous, recognized, and sold comics in Israel for over 18 years now.
With over half a million copies sold, zbang is being produced monthly and keeps the active imagination of Israeli teenagers, well... active.
In the late 90's Zbang was adapted into a television series with many known names in Israeli entrainment like Yossi Graber, and Sandy Bar.
Since then the show has been syndicated, and now it's aired in Israel again.
Uri Fink, the legendary creator of Zbang, has been making comics for 20 years now.
Every since creating the first Israeli super hero at age 15, he created many other comics series like "Super Clumsy" the story of the clumsiest super hero alive, and "Googi" which documents the life of his two young daughters and their mishaps.
Corbomite Games, formed in 2006 is a new game development studio focusing on highly narrative games, adventure games, and online-social games (MMOs). Corbmite employs an ace team of industry veterans, now including local Israeli comics creator and mini-celebrity Uri Fink, and his Zbeng co-editor Reut Almog, talented writers with years of experience in computer games and role playing games.
Corbomite games is lead by, Oded Sharon, experienced game maker with passion for adventure games, and MMOs. His latest project was Ballreium, the most aspiring and challanging MMORTS game in recent years.
